Support Our Local Small Business Community To support our local small businesses, City of Salinas staff and the Economic Recovery Taskforce will be putting forward initiatives to encourage residents to shop local and support the marketing of businesses in Salinas. About the Economic and Recovery Taskforce The Small Business Economic and Recovery Task Force was initiated specifically to address the economic impact of the global pandemic. As essential workers returned to work at the end of Spring 2020, with the support of the City Council of Salinas, key stakeholders were brought together, establishing a working group that was inclusive of County and City staff, business organization representation, and individual business owners.
