On January 25, 2021, the Regional Stay at Home Order ended as a result of improvement of ICU projections throughout California.
This Regional Stay at Home Order has an accompanying Supplemental Order.

Important COVID Updates:
Sidewalk Café Encroachment and Temporary Use of Land Permits

Businesses with current Sidewalk Café Encroachment Permits(SCEP) and Temporary Use of Land Permits (TULPs) may continue operating under permit/no fee until December 31, 2022.

Staff is to enforce and cite business that are operating without outdoor business activity permits

Restaurants/bars that currently do not have a SCEP and wish to operate in the public right of way must obtain permit through established SCEP process and standards.

Should limitations be placed on indoor business activities through federal, state or local order or industry guidelines, staff will re-instate issuance of Covid-19 Outdoor Activity Permits with no fee (SCEP and TULP). These permits would remain in place until 30-days after orders are lifted.

If a restaurant is applying for outdoor dining on private property, a Temporary Use of Land Permit must be issued.
